Nubyaan Scott, selected to represent disability advocates, is an ADA Compliance Officer within the UC system. Nubyaan previously litigated and advocated for housing accessibility and against discrimination in housing, services, and public benefits. Nubyaan also previously worked as an advocate for regional center clients, which helped her develop knowledge of the unique housing and community supports that are often lacking for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Prior to that, Nubyaan worked as a Fair Housing Coordinator with Project Sentinel, advocating for clients’ housing accessibility needs in the landlord/tenant context. Nubyaan has also worked as a Program Coordinator with the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers, where she assisted people with disabilities statewide with identifying assistive technology solutions. Nubyaan obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
